About IEDC
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) at Sree Gokulam SNGM College of Pharmacy is established with the aim of instilling the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial mindset among students and faculty. Affiliated with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), the IEDC acts as a launchpad for innovative ideas, student startups, and technology-driven solutions in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare.
We envision nurturing a generation of pharmacist-entrepreneurs who are not only competent in academic excellence but also capable of solving real-world problems through innovation and enterprise.

Mission

- To support technology transfer, patent filing, and commercialization of student innovations.
Objectives of IEDC
- 🎯 Identify and nurture innovative ideas among students and faculty.
- 🎯 Conduct ideathons, hackathons, workshops, and boot camps on design thinking and innovation.
- 🎯 Facilitate collaboration with industry mentors, incubators, and domain experts.
- 🎯 Provide prototype development support through mini grants and KSUM seed funding.
- 🎯 Encourage patent filings and pre-incubation of viable products or services.
- 🎯 Promote entrepreneurship as a viable career path through exposure visits and talks by startup founders.

Hands-on training in business model canvas, design thinking, regulatory frameworks, and intellectual property rights (IPR).
Startup Showcases
Pitching events and demo days for student ventures to present ideas to investors and accelerators.
KSUM Grants
Application facilitation for Innovation Grant, YIP, and Mini Project Fund.
Internships & Industry Connect
Exposure to pharma startups, health-tech ventures, and clinical innovation labs.
