About IIC
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Sree Gokulam SNGM College of Pharmacy was established under the aegis of the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India, with a vision to systematically foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, researchers, and faculty.
The IIC functions as a catalyst in transforming academic ideas into viable solutions by facilitating innovation, pre-incubation support, design thinking, and start-up opportunities — particularly in the pharmaceutical and healthcare ecosystem.

To build an ecosystem of innovation and research-driven excellence that nurtures creative minds, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and inspires pharmaceutical innovations for social impact.
Mission
- To inspire and engage students in innovation and entrepreneurial activities through structured initiatives.
- To create awareness and enable the creation of pharma-centric startups aligned with national priorities.
- To connect the campus with national innovation networks, research institutions, and healthcare incubators.
- To build capacity in IPR, regulatory knowledge, product development, and ethical innovation.
Objectives of IIC
- 🚀 Conduct innovation-focused programs such as Hackathons, Idea Competitions, and Smart India Hackathon (SIH) orientations.
- 🚀 Encourage students to participate in Toycathon, YUKTI, ARIIA, and other MoE-driven innovation challenges.
- 🚀 Organize sessions on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Design Thinking, Prototyping, and Startup Finance.
- 🚀 Build a robust mentor pool involving pharma industry experts, entrepreneurs, and researchers.
- 🚀 Establish linkages with incubators, KSUM, pharma clusters, and MoE innovation networks.
