About the Mentor–Mentee System

The Mentor–Mentee system at Sree Gokulam SNGM College of Pharmacy is a structured, student-centric initiative aimed at ensuring academic guidance, emotional support, and holistic development of every student. This system plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between students and faculty, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes learning, wellbeing, and personal growth. Each student is assigned a faculty mentor who acts as a guide, coach, and counselor throughout the academic journey.

Objectives

Scope of Mentorship

• ✔ Monitoring attendance, academics, and behavior.
• ✔ Advising on goal setting, career planning, and exams.
• ✔ Guiding students in projects, research, and innovation.
• ✔ Providing emotional support and necessary referrals.
• ✔ Encouraging extracurricular and co-curricular participation.

Mentor’s Role

• Build a supportive relationship and be approachable.
• Track student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Recognize challenges and provide or refer for solutions.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Encourage career awareness, skill development, and discipline.

Mentee’s Role

• Participate actively and honestly in mentoring sessions.
• Seek help when facing academic, personal, or career-related difficulties.
• Show commitment to self-improvement and growth.
• Maintain mutual respect and responsibility in the relationship.
